As a caring and nurturing school, we welcome you to visit our school for a tour. Come and see how we can support your child to grow and develop.
Our Christian Vision and Values are reflected within in our policies. Within this policy the Admissions policy – we are an inclusive school and ensure that all pupils needs are met to enable them to flourish; ‘Everyone is important, valued and needed to make L&B grow’.
Admissions for children to join our Reception class are controlled by Kent County Council.
All parents and carers will need to complete the common application form within the timetable set by the Council.
When should I apply?
Applications for children (aged 4) to start school in September open in November and close in January.
The Council’s primary admissions website contains a range of information, including the key dates.
How many children do we take?
Our Governing Body and the Council have agreed that our admission limit for Key Stage 1 (Reception Classes and Year 1 and 2) is 15 pupils per year.
We have a total roll limit of 105 children.
Wherever possible we aim not to exceed 30 children per class. That’s because we believe this is in the best educational and social interest of all our children. However, we are allowed to have up to 35 children per class.
Visiting our school
During the applications period, we provide tours for families to come and visit our school and meet our pupils and staff.
Details of tours are sent to all local nurseries and pre-schools and are also published on our website.
Please contact the school office if you would like more information or to a book a tour.
Offer of a place
The offer of a place at our school will be made by the Council.
This will be in the form of an email (if you used their online system) or a letter which is sent on the date set in the timetable for that year.
Induction to our school
When children and families join our school, we want to feel part of our school family as quickly as possible. That’s why we have dedicated induction programme for all new pupils.
