Admissions

As a caring and nurturing school, we welcome you to visit our school for a tour. Come and see how we can support your child to grow and develop.

Reception applications

We have a virtual tour of our school available for you to watch under ‘Our School’ Tab at the top of the screen and then ‘prospectus’.

Admissions for children to join our Reception class are controlled by Kent County Council.

All parents and carers will need to complete the common application form within the timetable set by the Council.

When should I apply?

Applications for children (aged 4) to start school in September open in November and close in January.

2022 applications
For children starting school in September 2022 applications for reception year will open in November 2021.

Applications will close in January 2022.

More details such as dates etc will be uploaded when they are launched.

The Council’s primary admissions website contains a range of information, including the key dates.

How many children do we take?

Our Governing Body and the Council have agreed that our admission limit for Key Stage 1 (Reception Classes and Year 1 and 2) is 15 pupils per year.

We have a total roll limit of 105 children.

Wherever possible we aim not to exceed 30 children per class. That’s because we believe this is in the best educational and social interest of all our children. However, we are allowed to have up to 35 children per class.

Visiting our school

During the applications period, we provide tours for families to come and visit our school and meet our pupils and staff.

Details of tours are sent to all local nurseries and pre-schools and are also published on our website.
