Admissions for children to join our Reception class are controlled by Kent County Council.
All parents and carers will need to complete the common application form within the timetable set by the Council
When should I apply?
Applications for children (aged 4) to start school in September open in November and close in January.
How many children do we take?
Our Governing Body and the Council have agreed that our admission limit for Key Stage 1 (Reception Classes and Year 1 and 2) is 15 pupils per year.
If a year group is full you can ask to be added to our waiting list. When / if a space becomes available we will contact you in order of our list.
We have a total roll limit of 105 children.
Wherever possible we aim not to exceed 30 children per class. That’s because we believe this is in the best educational and social interest of all our children. However, we are allowed to have up to 35 children per class.
Visiting our school
During the applications period, we provide tours for families to come and visit our school and meet our pupils and staff.
Details of tours are sent to all local nurseries and pre-schools and are also published on our website.

Offer of a place
The offer of a place at our school will be made by the Council.
This will be in the form of an email (if you used their online system) or a letter which is sent on the date set in the timetable for that year.

Applications for Reception must be made using Kent County Council’s common application form.
Induction to our school
When children and families join our school, we want to feel part of our school family as quickly as possible. That’s why we have dedicated induction programme for all new pupils.
In Year Admissions
If you have a child in another school and wish to consider transferring to our school, please get in touch.
We always welcome applications from pupils and families wishing to join us.
When you get in touch, we can check the availability of places in your child’s school year. Visits to our school can be easily arranged for families to come and look around via the school office.
To apply for an in year school place, you need to complete the Council’s in year application form and return directly to the school office.
